Thank you for being interested in vending with One-OneThousand. Part of our mission of cultivating a stronger economy around well-made handcrafted goods is creating curated shopping experiences. We work hard to create thoughtful opportunities to showcase the brands we love and give shoppers meaningful ways to engage with their goods. Our vendor mix is thoughtfully curated based on aesthetics, ingenuity and cohesiveness. 

As our community grows, our events continue to evolve. Below is a line-up of opportunities we have available for 2018. If you want to be a part of other collaborative events put on by our members or want to use the One-OneThousand studio as a testing ground for you own events, inquire to rent our space or join the club

Good Day Market: Holiday Edition

Good Day Market is our signature event designed to give people a creative and social space to shop well-made, handmade home & lifestyle goods.  Featuring the goods of around 60 professional makers and indie brands plus food, drinks, demos and more. This year’s holiday event will be held on:

   Friday, December 7, 4:30 – 9 pm
   Saturday, December 8, 10 am – 4 pm
   At Madison Masonic Center

The cost is $175 for an 8′ x 6′ space. A complimentary  8' table can be provided

Good Day Summer Pop-Up Shops

For the more casual summer shopping season, we host mini versions of our Good Day Market at our creative studio located in Madison. Think of these events as a mini market meets retail shop. Our focus is on providing shopping in a casual, community-driven, good vibes space. It's a chance to get to know our customers and cultivate community around our goods. The event is set up throughout our entire 4800 sq ft studio

Trunk Shows & ONGOING RETAIL

We’re curating a special selection of small batch handcrafted or made to order goods for our front retail space. If you’d like to stay in conversation around those opportunities, send us an email and introduce yourself. If you’d like more control over curating, styling and planning your own event you can apply to host a trunk show as an individual or collective of makers. Fees vary
 


How to apply

Please read all sections thoroughly and completely before applying. We want our events to be creative, fun and successful for you and for us – so take the time now to make sure  you understand all the details of how we work together.

Requirements

In order to qualify for our shows, you must:

  • Be running a handmade business where your hands are involved in the design and/or production of your goods

  • Have an online presence through either an ecommerce site or website

  • Have high quality images

Timeline

Applications are considered as they come in and early acceptance may be given. Otherwise, all vendors whether accepted, not accepted or waitlisted will be notified within 2 weeks after application close. Deadlines for each show are listed above. After that point, application will be by invite only. 
 

Selection process

This is a highly curated show. Please put your best application forward. Vendors are curated based on professional presence, strong brand and ingenuity. We’re careful about selecting a vendor group that offers a diversity of aesthetics, perspectives and goods. We also take into consideration the number of other markets and events you show at in our area.

Electricity is limited and will only be provided to vendors in which it is critical. If you need electricity, you must bring your own extension cord and must ensure it is not a tripping factor by taping or securing it. Cords that are a tripping hazard will be disconnected. Do you need electricity?

Go ahead and email 3-5 product images to sarah@oneonethousand.net that we can use for promotional purposes. Make sure they are cropped 1:1 square without a border. Photos must be high quality and professional looking. No heavy filters please. Applications without images will not be accepted. *

Submitted application is a commitment to participate in the market if accepted. Accepted makers must exhibit for the entire event. One-OneThousand reserves the right to remove an artist from the show for conduct deemed unacceptable and/or detrimental to the mission and reputation of the event.

PROMOTION: Makers are required to participate in promotion for the event via displaying posters or yard signs and sharing information on social media.

VENDOR SPACE: Each vendor is responsible for providing their own table, chairs and display surfaces unless otherwise negotiated. No booth sharing unless approved by One-OneThousand in advance. Each potential applicant must apply individually and be accepted to participate as such. One-OneThousand will not be responsible for any damage or theft of personal belongings or merchandise, or loss of any product due to external factors. Please be careful and responsible for your area and we strongly encourage you to carry your own insurance. Any accidents caused by a vendor’s set-up or goods will be the responsibility of that vendor. One-OneThousand is not responsible for any personal injury during our events. All vendors will provide an inclusive and welcoming booth presence and present themselves, the event and One-OneThousand in a positive light. 

REFUNDS & CANCELLATION: This event will proceed regardless of weather. One-OneThousand will not issue refunds for vendor fees if something comes up or if you no longer want to participate. Please notify me immediately if you cannot come so we can open up the spot for another person. If a cancellation of the event by One-OneThousand is necessary due to unforeseen circumstances, acts of a third party, or other circumstances which may compromise the safety of event participants (at our sole discretion), then the event may be rescheduled. Understand that One-OneThousand has the right to deny your participation in any or all of the events at any time. One-OneThousand reserves the right to dismiss any vendor from any event.

STATE SALES TAX: All vendors are responsible for abiding by all tax laws and collecting the 5.5% sales tax for Wisconsin on each sale. For more information about this you can contact the Wisconsin Department of Revenue or view taxation requirements on their website. You are responsible for sales taxes, licenses, permits, insurance and fees as necessary and/or required by law to conduct your business. We leave it to you to be responsible for any requirements that might apply to you.

MEDIA RELEASE/CONSENT: I do hereby release all rights or claims in connection with the photo/video in which I appear, for use by One-OneThousand and all sponsors. I understand that the photo/video, if used, will be for the promotional purpose of assisting future One-OneThousand events. I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished photos, video and/or advertising copy.
